Taba is our lovely Talent Manager within the HRIS and Payroll division who started at Archway at the start of January. Get to know Taba below:

Who are you?

My name is Tabitha (everyone calls me Taba), I have recently graduated from the University of Otago and have landed myself a job in recruitment! I am currently flatting in Wellington and love being in the city having grown up on the Kāpiti Coast.

What do you do at Archway Recruitment?

As the Talent Manager here at Archway I work alongside Matthew Greenwood in the HRIS and Payroll sector. There is still a whole lot for me to learn about my role which I am excited to do and learn how I will be spending my time!

What do you do when you aren’t at work?

When I’m not at work, I can be found spending time with my friends and partner, mooching around at home, walking my dog on the beach, watching crime documentaries, going out for drinks, and spending time with my family. I love to travel and will take any opportunity to go see new places and have new experiences!

What career did you want to have when you were a kid?

When I was younger, I always wanted to be a primary school teacher, then in high school, I wanted to be a social worker and studied that for two years at Otago University. I then realised that being a social worker wasn’t the right fit for me so then switched to a BA where I majored in Sociology and minored in Education. Now I have fallen into recruitment and so far am loving it.

Do you have a party trick?

My party trick is being able to do a cartwheel and then landing it in the splits!

What is something you’re passionate about outside of work?

I am passionate about true crime! I find documentaries and podcasts about true crime soooo interesting.
