Mylene
Having been a Tekla Structural Engineer since the early 2000s, Mylene was not looking forward to potential upheaval when seeking a new engineering role in 2022. That’s where Archway came in.
“I am impressed with his professionalism,” Mylene says about James. Having worked with other recruitment agencies before, Mylene appreciated how he kept up to date with her questions and concerns before taking action.
“He is positive and he is giving trust to his client. And for that I want to thank him so much.”
Thanks to James’s effort, Mylene found another job at a structural and consulting engineering company, as – you guessed it – a Tekla Structural Engineer.

Peter
After 5 years of engineering work in Canada, moving his career to a whole new continent was initially a bit tricky. However, after James spotted Peter and reached out to assist, he was quickly able to get his foot in the door at a firm.
“I very much appreciated James’ communication,” says Peter, “in stark contrast to the low level of communication I was used to at other recruitment agencies.” Peter “really appreciated his regular updates and how he followed up with me before and after interviews to see how I felt about them.” With James advocating for him Peter was able to “secure an interview, which eventually led to securing a job.”
In November last year, Peter found a new role. Moving your career from one side of the world to the other is never an easy thing to do. We couldn’t be more pleased to have helped Peter achieve it.
Barbara
Archway’s Engineering consultant Stephen Graves worked with Barbara to understand her experience and skillset and then recognised an opportunity to put Barbara forward for.
“What made a significant impact was Stephen’s belief in my abilities, he recognised I deserved better than what I was receiving in my previous job. In my past role, I was confined to a comfort zone, however, now I can confidently state that I am pushing myself and gaining valuable knowledge!” Barbara says.
“Stephen’s constant attention and engagement helped a lot. He would call and discuss things with me about the market and different opportunities. Eventually, he put forward the opportunity of an interview for a Site Engineer role. His support and encouragement made me feel confident about my interview with them, he contacted me before and after the interview and gave great feedback on how the interview went.”
Barbara is now enjoying her new role as a Site Engineer.
