Who are you?
I am a mum of two cool little people Lily (8) and Jack (6). I have been in recruitment my whole working life which suits my fast-paced nature. I love exercise, if you cannot reach me I will be out running or at Yoga. Our family enjoys boating and spending time at our house in Marlborough Sounds. We also love to travel.
What do you do at Archway Recruitment?
I am a Principal Consultant, specialising in the Professional Support sector within the built environment. With over a decade of experience in recruitment, my approach emphasises the cultivation of collaborative relationships with clients, prioritising connections over one-off transactions.
What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, you’ll find me running, exploring new destinations through travel, and spending time with my children and husband.
How many candidates on average do you interview a month?
20
If you could offer a single piece of advice to candidates, what would it be?
Do your prep! Turn up to an interview two minutes before – turning up ten minutes early can be just as annoying as ten minutes late.
If you could offer a single piece of advice to clients, what would it be?
Encourage a two-sided interview approach. While it’s crucial for a client to assess the candidate, it is equally important to avoid a one-sided interview. Focus on selling your company and finding out about the candidate. Creating a balanced and engaging conversation benefits both parties in making informed decisions.
What career did you want to have when you were a kid?
I wanted to be a doctor – I still do some days.
What is your superpower?
I am dyslexic, and I find this is my superpower. I can see the big picture and I don’t get bogged down in the small details. This makes working in a dynamic industry like recruitment easier for me.
If you were ever going to go on a reality TV show, which one would you go on and why?
The Amazing Race, I would do it with Yolande and drive her nuts.
